Mark your calendar for three upcoming PHRA membership gatherings, August 23, Sept. 19 (event cancelled rescheduled for December 9)  and Oct. 25.

The PHRA picnic is scheduled for August 23 (note: it originally scheduled for July 26th) at noon in the Laguna/Washington corner of Lafayette Park. Members and potential members are invited to bring their own lunch to the site; PHRA will supply lemonade.

No formal program is planned. The event is intended as an opportunity for residents of the PHRA area to meet each other and members of the Board of Directors.

The PHRA Annual Meeting will take on a whole new format this year on Oct. 25. This is being planned as a family-friendly morning meeting – 9 a.m. to noon – in the Calvary Presbyterian Church at the corner of Fillmore and Jackson streets.

The business portion of the meeting will be brief; the rest of the program is being developed. Coffee and bagels will be served. Kids are encouraged to come in costume, to turn the event into a Halloween party, with prizes.
