MUNI’s TEP DIER Scoping Hearing

(includes 1-CA, 3-Jackson, 22-Fillmore, 38-Geary, etc.)
One South Van Ness Avenue, 2nd Floor Atrium
(corner of South Van Ness Avenue and Market Street)
Wed., Dec. 7th - 6:30 pm

MUNI’s TRANSIT EFFECTIVENESS PROJECT (TEP) is a major program intended to improve MUNI Service.  It proposes several major changes to MUNI – changes to schedules, routes (some eliminated) and stops (some moved or eliminated).  Any project of this magnitude is subject to an Environmental Impact Report (EIR).  The first step is to open up the process for comments on the scope of the EIR.

TEP will affect you in many ways – if you ride MUNI< or if it passes by your house, or even if it gets other people to use transit instead of driving.

This public scoping process is your opportunity to tell Planning’s Environmental Analysis what needs to be considered in the EIR: specifics about traffic, access, what might make you more or less likely to use MUNI or your car, etc.

More information is at the Planning link at http://tepeir.sfplanning.org and the SFMT TEP pages at http://www.sfmta.com/cms/mtep/tepover.htm

If you cannot attend, but want to submit comments, please send written comments to Bill Wycko, Environmental Review Officer, San Francisco Planning Department, 1650 Mission Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94103. Comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on December 9, 2011. (these can be sent by e-mail to bill.wycko@sfgov.org)

It's ready!
The long-anticipated Van Ness Avenue Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIS/EIR) is now available.

With the release of this important document, we’re eager to gather feedback from the public regarding its contents. Among the topics covered in the Draft EIS/EIR are: project purpose and need, information on the various alternative BRT configurations under consideration, the project’s potential benefits and environmental impacts, and process for selecting a preferred alternative. You can download the most recent fact sheet here. Spanish and Chinese versions will be available on our web site on November 7. Read the executive summary (1MB PDF) of the Draft EIS/EIR, or download the full document in its entirety or by chapter by chapter on our Environmental Review page. Hard copies of the document are also available at various locations, including the Authority’s Offices (100 Van Ness Avenue), SFMTA (1 South Van Ness), and the Main Library (100 Larkin Street). For a full list of locations, please visit www.vannessbrt.org.

Your comments on the contents of the Draft EIS/EIR and on alternative selection can be sent by email to vannessbrt@sfcta.org or by letter to:
