(corner of South Van Ness Avenue and Market Street)
Wed., Dec. 7th -

MUNI’s TRANSIT EFFECTIVENESS PROJECT (TEP) is
a major program intended to improve MUNI Service. It proposes
several major changes to MUNI – changes to schedules, routes
(some eliminated) and stops (some moved or eliminated). Any
project of this magnitude is subject to an Environmental Impact
Report (EIR). The first step is to open up the process for
comments on the scope of the EIR.
TEP will affect you in many ways – if you ride
MUNI< or if it passes by your house, or even if it gets other
people to use transit instead of driving.
This public scoping process is your
opportunity to tell Planning’s Environmental Analysis what needs
to be considered in the EIR: specifics about traffic, access,
what might make you more or less likely to use MUNI or your car,
etc.
More information is at the Planning link at
http://tepeir.sfplanning.org and the SFMT TEP pages at
http://www.sfmta.com/cms/mtep/tepover.htm
If you cannot attend, but want to submit
comments, please send written comments to Bill Wycko,
Environmental Review Officer, San Francisco Planning Department,
1650 Mission Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94103.
Comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on December 9, 2011.
